Morgon is one of the ten crus of Beaujolais, made from Gamay on decomposed granite and schist. It is the cru that ages best: with a few years, it takes on notes that remind some of Burgundy.

In the glass

Deep garnet
Dark cherry, kirsch, a touch of pepper
Fleshy, with firm tannins

Serving

Around 15 to 16 °C. Good now, better in two or three years.
